Shey’s love for events began long before it became a career. Growing up in Sri Lanka, her passion was first ignited during her school years when she joined the Interact Club and rose to serve on the District Committee, a formative experience that revealed her natural gift for bringing people together.
That passion only deepened when she joined Mobitel (Pvt) Ltd, where over a five-year tenure she orchestrated hundreds of events, from high-profile product launches and press conferences to internal workshops, staff gatherings, and annual celebrations. It was here that she sharpened the organisational precision and creative vision that defines her work today.
Determined to turn her passion into expertise, Shey made the bold move to the United Kingdom to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Events Management at Leeds Beckett University. During her time in the UK, she continued doing what she does best, organising weddings, charity events, and workshops, building her experience across cultures and settings.
Back in Sri Lanka, armed with international knowledge and boundless ambition, she founded Shey Jerome Events, a company built on the belief that every occasion, however grand or intimate, deserves to be extraordinary.
One of the most celebrated chapters of her career came through her role as Operations Manager for the iconic Colombo Fashion Week (CFW), where she served from 2019 to 2022. CFW is Sri Lanka’s most prestigious fashion event a world where creativity collides with logistics, and no two seasons are ever the same. Managing its operations demanded equal parts artistry and precision, and Shey delivered both, season after season.
Today, Shey Jerome Events brings that same standard of excellence to every project, from intimate gatherings of 40 guests to lavish 500-person celebrations. Her portfolio spans themed events, baby showers, birthday parties, wedding proposals, corporate events, staff team-building experiences, and both local and destination weddings.
A passionate advocate for destination weddings in Sri Lanka, Shey offers a truly end-to-end experience, including post-event services such as honeymoon packages, hotel and flight coordination for guests, and bespoke tour packages that showcase the beauty of the island.
